Your only hope is to either wait for Windows 10 to supply a driver or revert back to Windows 7 if the upgrade was less than 30 days. I'm wondering if anyone might know a solution to this.

With all previous versions of Windows, you knew your device would work until end of support and in this case Windows 7 end of support is 2020 which is another 4 years from now. When I plugged it in, it said it was installing the software, then I got 'Device driver software was not successfully installed'. The package arrived today without a box.

Similar Products - Edit: This is the problem I have with Windows 10. The driver is an InstallScript Setup Launcher so it can't be found.

I was very skeptical before buying this gadget. Everyone seems to use it for general inspection and not as a real time soldering equipment. I have seen the excellent review of which i highly recommend to watch before buying this gadget. I bought this 800X microscope from e-bay and i must say that i was impatient to see its capabilities. The package arrived today without a box. I was aware about that so i made a pretty simple modification. I have added a ussb flexible arm. I was forced to use the CamApp application for live microscope inspection. CamApp can take snapshots and video captures. Some demo videos will be posted later in this article.

It can be used with any webcam app, like the camera app built in to Windows 8. I just tried this microscope on a Windows 7 64 bit laptop and got the same problem. Welcome to the world of Windows 10. I have added a 20cm flexible arm. I have seen the excellent review of which i highly recommend to watch before buying this gadget.
